I wish to extend warmest greetings to everyone. Vidyawardhini Mahavidyalaya, Dhule is rooted in the great academic legacy of Dr. M. Y. Vaidya, Prof. P D Dalal and Dr. D. S. Shah, the veteran educational leaders of Khandesh. The name of the college commemorates the contribution of these stalwarts to the higher education in Dhule. It’s therefore a privilege to work as the Principal of this almost 60-year-old college run by Vidya Wardhini Sabha with academic excellence, which has been a torchbearer to Dhule district in particular and Khandesh in general.
Facilitated with a huge campus, rich library and multiple educational facilities of Vidyawardhini College, we are committed to provide comprehensive and enticing educational know-how. The dedicated teachers have been relentlessly probing a battery of disciplines and subjects to ensure a multidisciplinary and holistic experience towards higher education and research that embraces life as a focal point. Hon’ble Chairman Mr. Akshay Bhau Chhajed, Secretary Abasaheb Yuvaraj Karankal and the esteemed management of V. W. S. represent multiple sections of the society and are keenly interested in continuing the legacy of educational excellence.
“Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.” Says Maimonides. Our conviction is to nurture skills and values amongst students to make them skilled, and employable with a fine sheathing of values. The college, as a metaphor, is passionate about the dissemination of knowledge through a train of innovative and traditional teaching methodologies which in consequence leaves an affirmative influence on society. Through interactive lectures, practical sessions, conferences, seminars, and collaborative projects, we aim to champion critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills among our students.
It is worth underlining that the recently introduced National Education Policy (NEP 2020) has brought about significant changes in the Indian education system. The NEP aims to transform education by focusing on holistic development, multidisciplinary learning, and skill enhancement. At Vidyawardhini College, we have substantially implemented the NEP’s principles and are actively incorporating them into our curriculum under the guidance of Kavayatri Bahinabai Chaudhari North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon. Ours is the established leading college in Humanities in the jurisdiction of KBCNMU and taking measures to do the same in other faculties too. We are always in league with the University to initiate new measures like internship and skill development.
